I spent one week with Hélène and her family in mid April. It was such a wonderful experience that I wish I had booked another week or two.
Hélène made me feel at home the moment when she picked me up at the train station. My learning experience started right then as well. She has a natural and gentle way to correct and propose the words and expressions that I struggled with without interrupting the flow of our conversations. Our "formal classes" are based on my goals and the topics that I am interested in, three hours often went by very quickly.
She has also gone above and beyond to make the week a diverisifed cultural experience. Aside from visiting all the main historical sites in the city, we cooked in a charity kitchen and went to see a improv play.
Her family is nice and warm. We had dinner together every night and they always tried to include me in the conversations. Hélène is a great cook! Her dishes are super delicious and well balanced.
If you are looking for a immersive French learning and cultural experience, I would definitely recommend Hélène!
